As part of this week there will be a week-long exhibition in Parliament bringing artists and scientists together to showcase the evidence behind investing early into human potential. For the first time in the UK there will be Infant Mental Health Awards which seek to raise the profile and understanding of the importance of the first 1001 days of a child’s life: conception to age 2

Join us to give every baby the best possible start in life for an action packed conference in Westminster on Thursday 9th June, 2016, which will see in attendance for this high profile event politicians, philanthropists, experts by lived experience, commissioners, directors of public health, think tanks and multi-disciplinary professionals from across health, education and social care. A number of invited Secretary of States, Ministers and parliamentarians will be speaking and addressing the opportunities toinvest in the first 1001 days of a child’s life as part of the vision for social renewal and social justice in our local communities to improve life chances for babies.

This conference will showcase the work of the charity PIP UK that is developing specialist therapeutic support for vulnerable infants, toddlers and their families across the UK, as well as some of the best practise in the field of innovative and evidence based work in the first 1001 days of a child’s life including PIP UK Trustee Chris Cuthbert (Better Start), George Hosking, OBE (Pioneer Communities), Dr Alain Gregoire (MMHA), Professor Jane Barlow (Warwick University) among other pioneers and innovators seeking to enable upstream solutions to society’s challenges.
